Mobile Air Conditioners
Introduction
Mobile air conditioners are the easiest route to true air conditioning in the office or at home. They can be installed easily and after connecting to a 13 amp socket are ready for immediate use. Mobile air conditioners work by using a refrigeration circuit to absorb and transfer heat from the room to outside. In the process the air inside the room is re-circulated through the unit which filters and cools the air.
You will see a suggested room size listed against each mobile unit. Please note this is an average guide and you will need to check the application if your particular room is in any way extreme, i.e. high levels of glass.
ECO, 60% of the units we offer are supplied with R290 or R410a refrigerant with zero environmental impact. All other models use R407c which is also an environmentally friendly refrigerant.
Single Air Cooled Air Conditioners
Room air is cooled by the air conditioner and the waste heat is expelled via a fan and exhaust hose that draws room air over the condenser and exhausts to outside either through a window (a flattening adaptor is included) the door or a hole through the wall.

Single Air & Water Cooled Air Conditioners
These units work in the same way as the air-cooled type but with addition of a water reservoir that bleeds water onto the condenser coil to improve efficiency, reducing running costs by up to 40%.
Split Type Air Conditioners
These systems comprise two units that are connected by means of pre-charged refrigerant lines. Before connection, these lines which are permanently fixed to the indoor unit, can be passed through a hole (about the size of half a brick) then connected to the external unit with quick coupling connectors. The external unit can be placed either on the ground outside, on a secure wall bracket and in some cases hooked by straps over the edge of a window frame.
High Wall Heat Pump Split Air Conditioners
These systems also comprise of two units that are connected by means of pre-charged refrigerant lines but with two main differences.
- The indoor unit is designed for wall mounting and, therefore, will not use valuable floor space and could even be positioned above the door.
- The heat pump system provides efficient heating.
